Sennheiser MX55VC Twist-To-Fit In-Ear Stereo Headphones w/ Volume ControlI can’t wear ear buds. For some reason my ears aren’t shaped correctly to hold them in place and they fall out at the slightest movement of my head. Needless to say, I can’t wear ear buds for any type of physical activity which is a real pain because I don’t like to wear clip-on, neckband, or over-the-ear headphones when I run or ride my bike.

I picked up a pair of the Sennheiser MX55VC Twist-To-Fit headphones a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be more pleased. I was a little skeptical when I ordered them because I wasn’t sure how they would hold in my ear. It’s hard to explain how they work but if you look at the picture you can see that they are wedged into your outer ear by sticking them in your ear and turning slightly.

I can attest that after a 3 hour bike ride they are as snug as when I originally put them on. My ears are a little sore after wearing them for a couple hours but the minor discomfort is worth it.

How do they sound? I can’t say they are the same quality as my over-the-ear Sennheisers that I use at work but the quality is fine for use at the gym or running outside.

They come with an ear adaptor set so that you can custom-fit them to your ears. I didn’t use the adaptors as they fit perfectly right out of the box. Also included was a soft-sided carrying case that holds the headphones and my iPod shuffle. I picked the model with the in-line volume control. For $26 you really can’t go wrong.

If you have trouble with ear buds staying put these headphones may be the solution you are looking for.
