Here’s a great iPhone app that will help you find healthy-food options, whether you are in a strange place or in your home town. All you have to do is log on to GoodFoodNearYou.com or you can use your iPhone or BlackBerry to download the free app, then enter your address or ZIP code.
What you get is a list of restaurants in your area that offer healthier food choices. At the moment most of the restaurants are fast-food type places, but hopefully that will get better. You’ll find a lot of salads or other low-fat foods in any event. But you’ll also see the choices from 7-11 and Dunkin Donuts.
As the service improves it looks like this may be a very useful tool.
