Raisins May Be Great For Your Teeth
More: benefits, healthy, Raisins, teeth
Research reveals that chewy raisins may provide special benefits to your teeth. Phytochemicals in raisins appear to help fight cavities. They do this by inhibiting the growth of certain types of oral bacteria. Raisins also prevent the bacteria from sticking to your teeth. It’s a snack that may be more than just tasty. Great news.
Raisins are also high in heart-healthy flavonoids, antioxidant compounds that also may reduce the risk of certain types of cancer and some forms of dementia. More research is needed to confirm the findings, but raisins are a great snack anyway. Just continue brushing and flossing as well.
