3 Cancer Fighting Foods in the KitchenIt is possible to prevent thousands of breast and colon cancer cases. All it takes is you making smart lifestyle choices, according to the World Cancer Research Fund and American Institute for Cancer Research. It’s all in what you choose in the kitchen. Here are some tips.

Calcium-According to a study from the National Institutes of Health, women who got 1,300 milligrams of calcium per day lowered their risk for colon cancer by 28%. Dairy products are a great way to get calcium. Yogurt and cheese, and calcium-fortified orange juice are good choices.

Lower your alcohol intake- A study from the UK revealed that just one drink a day of wine, beer, or liquor increases your risk of breast cancer by 12%. That risk rises with every additional drink.

Cut the fat-Researchers say that a high-fat diet might spread cancer. Lower your fat intake by using cooking sprays instead of oils.
