380,000 Lbs. of Deli Meat Recalled
Roast beef and ham that was distributed to Walmart delicatessens nationwide and sold in sandwiches has been recalled because it might be tainted with potentially harmful bacteria. No illnesses have been reported yet from the 380,000 pounds of meat that was made by Zemco Industries in Buffalo and may contain Listeria.
It’s not clear how many stores sold the meat products. A retail sample collected in Georgia tested positive for Listeria, which can cause serious and sometimes even fatal infections in the young, frail or elderly, or those with weakened immune systems.
