Dating site for beautiful people boots ‘fatties’ after holiday weight gain
Meanwhile in the shallow end of the internet… A dating site that markets itself as an elite community for beautiful people with a “strict ban on ugly people” has expelled about 5,000 members who have put on some weight during the holiday season.
BeautifulPeople.com expelled members after they posted photos “revealing that they have let themselves go,”. Users of the site can join only after enough members vote them “beautiful” during the 48 hours after their profile is uploaded. Talk about a shallow and vain site.
Seems like many “beautiful” people were angry that some members had put on weight. So BeautifulPeople.com sent those members e-mails telling them they could register again for the site when the extra pounds are gone.
As if people don’t have enough self-esteem issues. Then again, if you seek out membership in this kind of club, you are just asking for it. Just stay away from elitist clubs like this.
