Half of women would give up sex rather than gain 10 pounds

This may be hard to believe, but for some women, weight control is more important than sex, according to a new poll of 1,001 people. Roughly half of women say they would rather go without sex for the summer than gain 10 pounds. A fourth of the men feel the same way.

Another interesting part of this poll is that more people say they would rather shed 10 to 20 pounds during the summer than get promoted at work. About 66% of people say they need to lose weight to feel sexier than they do now as well. It would take a loss of an average 23 pounds to feel hotter.

The main point is that people have a serious desire to lose weight and if they could magically trade these things to make it happen, they would.
