My reusable eco-friendly bags are made entirely of recycled hemp by a co-op of Andean peasants. What really sold me on it was that it has "I Care More Than YOU DO!" embroidered on it. I got it through an equal exchange program and it was about $125 but it is worth it because it is fair trade. It is very strong- I can fit about a dozen bottles of Fiji water in it and it doesn't even seem to flex.

Isn't that just horrible, when they put only one or two things in each plastic bag? I want to tear my hair out and scream when I see that happening- Arghhhh!

Find some cool bags and start bringing them with you to the store! It's easy and can actually be a fun thing- especially if you find bags that make a bold eco statement like "F%@*K Plastic." ;-)

I agree. I do all the grocery shopping in my house and I've been meaning to start bringing my own bags to the store. I always feel guilty because it seems like they use 20 bags every time I go there.
