Popular food additive can cause stomach ache
Related: additive, Fiber, Food & Drink, gastrointestinal
A “Stealth fiber” called “inulin” has been increasingly added to processed foods. It is not a problem for most, but can cause gastrointestinal discomfort for some who may not know they’re consuming too much of it. Inulin may be in chocolate bars, drinks, and snacks and “before you know it, you may eat more than you can tolerate and have gastrointestinal issues you wouldn’t necessarily associate” with those foods.
It’s one of the problems with processed foods. You could be getting wayyy too much of some things that are bad for you and you may not even know what little ingredient, in what packaged food, is to blame. Worse, you may haVe problems and never know it.
