Walking Cuts Breast Cancer Death Risk In HalfAlmost 40,000 women die every year from breast cancer. On top of that, 180,000 will be newly diagnosed this year. There is some good news in fighting this however. A simple way to lower your risk of death from breast cancer is simple exercise.

According to a study from the University of South Carolina, five hours of walking  per week, or any moderate aerobic workout will reduce your risk by more than half. That sounds pretty amazing, but it isn’t very hard to believe. Just 20 minutes a day supposedly cuts the risk by a third.

The study involved more than 14,000 women and it is being called the first to objectively connect fitness levels and the risk of dying from breast cancer.

There are still other studies that say that exercise will cut your chances of getting the disease in the first place. It certainly doesn’t hurt.
